Intermediate Basic (Science - General) explores science teaching and learning in the intermediate school level. In this course, we will understand the needs of the adolescent learner and explore program planning and delivery, based on equity and inclusion. We will learn how to broaden the scope and extent of expectations in intermediate classes and prepare students to understand, adapt, and contribute to a rapidly changing world as well as participate in a global community. We will enhance learning through professional readings, hands-on investigations, ongoing analysis, reflection and finally an independent learning project. The course offers the candidates the opportunity to engage in collaborative learning, relating theory to practice and reflective practice.
