Open to new teachers graduating in June of this year. Dive into this AQ course with your peers and build knowledge and strategies from the instructor who is a K-12 classroom educator with years of experience and insight.

The Additional Qualification Course: Junior Division employs a critical, pedagogical lens to explore ethical perspectives, learner and learning theory, program planning, instructional design and assessment practices, and communities of learning related to teaching and learning in the Junior Division. Candidates will strengthen professional efficacy by reflecting on experience, developing in-depth knowledge, refining professional judgement and generating new possibilities for practice.

  • A Certificate of Qualification and Registration with the OCT by the end date of the course
  • An acceptable post-secondary degree or equivalent qualifications

Online:May 13, 2025 - June 20, 2025.

This 125 hour course consists of 100 hours of interactive coursework and 25 hours of independent learning. Regular and relevant candidate participation is a requirement. Expect to be online at least every second day to complete assignments and collaborate in discussion forums. All deadlines will be communicated by the Instructor.
