Teaching Students with Communication Needs (Autism Spectrum Disorders)

In this Additional Qualification Course: Teaching Students with Communication Needs (Autism Spectrum Disorders), you will be learning within a professional network of educators who are working to gain a more in-depth understanding of the varying needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Through collaborative dialogue, inquiry based activities and reflective practice, you will be focussed on programming to best support the effective teaching and learning of students with autism. Key guideline concepts include: relating practice to theory, program planning, development and implementation, best instructional practices, assessment and evaluation and building a supportive learning environment.
