French As A Second Language, Part 1 (May - June)

This AQ has been designed to explore and answer questions that may be unique to new teachers. This course will meet the needs of teachers with limited classroom experience.

The French as a Second Language (FSL) Part 1 AQ Course explores theoretical foundations, development of learners, program planning and implementation, assessment, the learning environment and ethical considerations related to teaching and learning across the divisions. This New B.Ed. Grad AQ has been designed to explore and answer questions that may be unique to new teachers. This course is specifically tailored for newly graduated teachers with limited classroom experience. The course will:


Prerequisites

  • A Certificate of Qualification and Registration with the OCT
  • Qualifications in at least one of the following by the end of the course:
    • primary division
    • junior division
    • intermediate division
    • senior division.
  • Successfully complete a French language proficiency test. All test results are final and not subject to appeals. One test attempt permitted per session. Cost for the test is included in the registration fees.
    FURTHER INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROFICIENCY TEST WILL BE E-MAILED UPON REGISTRATION.
  • Test Exemption: Applicants holding Basic Qualifications for teaching in Francophone schools (i.e, primaire, moyen, intermédiare, and/or supérieur) will not be required to complete the French language proficiency test
